SOUL TIME WITH VINTAGE VINYL AT THE
FOX AND HOUNDS CAVERSHAM. SESSION ON MAY 1 st 2015., ALWAYS ON THE FIRST
FRIDAY. LISTEN TO THE RECORDING ON MIXCLOUD-JIM B. DONOVAN
Well after a few months of quiet evenings, mostly due to factors beyond our control, the evening really picked up, in spite of a late start, due to my ignorance of the bars sound system, and a local beer festival close to the venue. For the first time this year I played the night by myself, and managed about three hours non stop, with no chat! Obviously tributes to Ben E., and Percy, plus a chance to get back on the original version of Louie Louie. I attempted to get quite a few styles on, including some blues , british beat, and ska, as well as old faves. Thanks again to Kev the landlord, and Chris the organiser, and all those who came over for a chat to say they liked what they were hearing. Enjoy-Jim
