SOULTIME 07/11/14

SOUL TIME WITH VINTAGE VINYL AT THE FOX AND HOUNDS, CAVERSHAM. PLAYLIST FOR THE SESSION ON 7/11/14. LISTEN TO THE RECORDING ON MIXCLOUD-JIM B. DONOVAN. THE NEXT SESSION IS ON DECEMBER 5th, ALWAYS ON THE FIRST FRIDAY, 8.00 TO MIDNIGHT.

WELL SOUL TIME RETURNED AND AT A NEW GREAT VENUE WITH A GREAT VIBE, THANKS TO LANDLORD KEV., AND CHRIS GALE. THIS EVENING STARTED MANY YEARS AGO AND HAS MOVED TO SEVERAL LOCATIONS, BUT LET US HOPE THAT THIS ONE WITH THE FIRST FRIDAY AS THE DATE BECOMES A PERMANENT FIXTURE. IT SURE SEEMS LIKE IT FROM THIS FIRST VERY BUSY ONE, AND WE JUST HAD ENOUGH ROOM FOR A LITTLE DANCE ACTION TO GET GOING. I HAVE HAD NO TIME TO CHECK THE RECORDING, BUT DO REMEMBER GLITCHES AROUND ZOOT MONEY/SYMARIP, JUST PROVING HOW LIVE THIS IS. I ALSO CHATTED A LITTLE, BUT HOPEFULLY THIS HAS NOT BEEN RECORDED. QUITE A LOT OF REQUESTS WERE PLAYED AND PETER HELPED ME OUT AGAIN BY PLAYING A DOZEN OR SO TUNES TO ALLOW ME TO SOCIALISE. SO IF YOU HAVE MISSED YOUR DOSE OF SOUL FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS HERE IT IS AGAIN, AND LONG MAY IT PROSPER.ENJOY-Jim.
