TRIP 26/11/11

THE TRIP SESSION 80 AT THE AFROBA WITH VINTAGE VINYL, PLAYLIST FOR THE SESSION ON 26th NOVEMBER 2011. MORE PLAYLISTS AT www.jimz.biz , AND DETAILS AND DOWNLOADS ON THE AFROBA FACEBOOK PAGE.
Well here we went again! Pretty random selection or what! This session was the third I had been involved in, in as many nights, and the one where I normally play all evening. However by 10.30, having started at 6.30, I was starting to wilt a little and was rescued by the Mighty AC, who appeared and played for an hour to give me a break, bless him. We also had a birthday party in early, so I kept it to ”background” music for the first few hours. I started, for no other reason than I had with me a separate box of jazzy sevens, for the first hour, then moved to a little funk on seven, before breaking out into “allsorts”. We had a very full bar, as we did the night before for the reggae evening, and the vibe was pretty good. Let’s hope we can keep it up for the next sessions, which are at the moment, TRACKS and GROOVES on DECEMBER 22nd, and THE TRIP on DECEMBER 24th, both obviously with seasonal flavours. However we may add a few more nights around the same time, so keep an eye on the afroba facebook page, or e-mail me at jimz@freenetname.co.uk , for details. Thanks for reading this and keep on keep on afrobaring!/Jim-www.jimz.biz
