TRIP 30/07/2011

the TRIP SESSION 76-WITH VINTAGE VINYL AT- THE AFROBA, READING, PLAYLIST FOR SESSION ON 30/7/11. MORE PLAYLISTS AT www.jimz.biz
Well they say variety is the spice of life, and you can take the mobile out of the man, but you can’t take the man out of the mobile, and they both sum up this session. We had a large birthday group in, plus plenty of regulars, so the bar was pretty crowded all night. Obviously I tried my best to get as much normal trip music in, but towards the end we went very mobile disco. It was quite difficult to chat to customers, keep up with requests, write everything down, try to move the dancing away from the decks! etc., but I got through to midnight with a crowd very reluctant to leave!. This was my sixth session in ten day and the most “demanding”, but with all those years of doing this behind me, I think I coped-just! This session gets played back at the afroba during august, deck skips and all-see below!
Also keep an eye on-or join- the AFROBA FACEBOOK page for details of sessions and downloads. I have four on there now and hope to upload soon a classic one that was available on cd a few years ago-BREAKS AND BEATS, recorded “live” here.
The next session is on AUGUST 27th, the one that always clashes with the Reading Festival, with Tracks and Grooves here two nights before. BCNU-Hopefully-JIM
