No Room For Squares 17/07/2008

NO ROOM FOR SQUARES-JAZZ, CLASSY DISCO OR ISIT? SESSION 55, WITH VINTAGE VINYL, 11/7/08, the afroba, reading, PLAYLIST AND RAMBLINGS. MORE PLAYLISTS AT www.jimz.biz
Well another one bites the dust, until you get to hear it again (or for the first time at PLAYBACK@the afroba) The plot for this one was to play lots of Herbie Hancock/Lalo Schifrin and some of the other artists featured in the new issue of Waxpoetics and I just about managed that. However the new plot to play an hour of classy disco went out of the window and got replaced with hip-hop and reggae. Please note the next session of the trip on july 26th features Veris our man from the Program (here on the first Friday). Be here or be somewhere else! The next session of nrfs is on August 8th. Finally be warned if you are listening to the session at Playback, as the DJ Krush track went funny on me and DJ Shadow towards the end suffers from my terrible scratching(yep I can’t mix or scratch, just choose tunes!). BCNU/Jim.
